Ever since its release last year, I have consistently returned to the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V, or more specifically its online component Grand Theft Auto Online. As I state in my 9/10 review, the definitive version of Rockstar’s latest not only looks fantastic but feel satisfying to play. It also helps that the open world sandbox players are given is full to the brim with ridiculous possibilities.

Most of them are murderous, admittedly, but hey.

There’s no better example of this than one of DO’s early videos in which I played GTAO blindfolded, but as funny as it all turned out (and yes – there will be more of it at some point) it’s hard to deny that the best moments occur when there are multiple people involved in the virtual action. It’s for this reason that I had been waiting for a group that I have been playing multiplayer titles with for years to all get a copy of GTAV, and towards the end of last year it finally happened.

You’ll hopefully be seeing more of this lot in the coming weeks and months, but Dan, Jonny and George all bring something different to the mix. Dan offers wisecracks and the inability to stick to roads; Jonny offers psychotic murderous rampages; and George comes up with plans and then gets angry when we don’t follow them. I, on the other hand, offer a laughter track and a liability risk. When you put it all together it becomes a recipe for ridiculousness – something I’m sure you’ll hopefully discover when you watch the first episode in a new series we’re calling Los Santos Misadventures.

It’s a highlight reel of all of our sessions over the last few months, showing when things go right, when things go horribly wrong, and when things go beyond ludicrous. For example, today’s episode contains scenes where Dan does some method acting as a cop, George has an unfortunate run-in with a truck, and I ignore all instructions to deliver some of the best piloting ever.

We’ll be back with Part 2 at the start of next week, so stay tuned! In the meantime, do let us know what you thought of the first episode in the comments below.
